Terms and Conditions for all photographic work

All photographs, whether in digital or print format, are sold for personal use only, unless specified otherwise.

It is a condition of sale and use for all commercially or otherwise publicly used photographs that acknowledgement be clearly given to Salt Photography, citing our business name and contact details on the image itself, beside the image or in the text accompanying the image.

Photographs produced by Salt Photography and/or any of its representatives, used for commercial purposes without expressed written permission from Salt Photography will be considered to be fraudulently used and subject to a standard £1,000 per photograph Commercial Use Fee (plus VAT).

Where a photograph has been provided for commercial use and no fee is directly payable to Salt Photography, the provision of that photograph will be subject to a reciprocal agreement that may be non-financial. This agreement will be specified in writing or may be verbal, whether directly stated or implied.

Personal use of any photograph purchased from Salt Photography is defined to mean any and all uses of the photograph for non-commercial, non-fee based activities. The following items are specifically excluded from the definition of Personal Use:
1. Print publications (magazines, newspapers, billboards, posters, flyers, and any other type of publicly displayed print medium where the print is put on public display with the intent, direct or otherwise, of promoting or otherwise enhancing or selling an organisation, service, product or a business venture)

Included personal use specifically covers:

All photographs taken by Salt Photography and/or any of its representatives, remain property of Salt Photography and may be used by Salt Photography at any time for the benefit of Salt Photography in any type of promotional activity, print or otherwise, without further notification to or permission from the photographic subject and/or any of their representatives. Any purchase made from Salt Photography is taken to be acceptance of these terms. We

Photographs are always sold on a non-exclusivity basis, unless specified in writing otherwise.

These terms and conditions and photo pricing are subject to modification and change at any time without warning.

In the unlikely event that we are not able to fulfil your order then you will receive a full refund to your credit or debit card. If there is an error in the fulfilment of your order then please contact us and we will correct the error or refund as necessary. We reserve the right to request return of print or gift items before any refund will be issued. Refunds are not generally given if you change your mind after the order has been placed.

Deliveries: We aim to dispatch all orders within 3 working days. Sometimes delays do occur and we will do everything we reasonably can to resolve any delays. Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for delays by the Royal Mail. However, if one week after dispatch the order has not been received we will re-print and redispatch at no cost to the customer. Longer grace periods apply for international destinations. Canvas prints are usually dispatched with a tracking from the delivery company. Once the tracking confirms that the item has been delivered to the destination, we cannot accept any liability for damage or loss that happens to it after delivery. Customers are required to ensure delivery can be made to a safe and secure location. Where a signature is required for delivery, customers must ensure that such signature can be provided as required.

VAT is charged on all sales at the rate of 20%. Prices shown are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise indicated.

Cancellations - photoshoots & weddings:

Photoshoots may be cancelled up until the day prior with no penalty.
Photoshoot cancellations on the day incur a 50% charge.
Photoshoots, by definition, cover modelling shoots, baby shoots, family and other portraiture sessions, sports and club photoshoots and actor headshots.
Wedding photography may be cancelled up until 3 days prior to the wedding without penalty.
Wedding photography cancelled less than 3 days before the wedding but not on the day of the wedding incurs a 30% penalty.
Wedding photography cancelled on the day of the wedding incurs a 50% penalty.
We reserve the right to waive any of these conditions at our discretion.

This privacy policy sets out how Salt Photography uses and protects any information that you give Salt Photography when you use this website.

Salt Photography is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, we pledge that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Salt Photography may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 23/6/2009.

What we collect:
   We may collect the following information:-
   - name and job title
   - contact information including email address
   - demographic information such as post code, preferences and interests
   - other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

It is not the policy of this business to engage in 'spam' or bulk advertising. From time to time, we may contact clients to advise of upcoming events that are relevant to their interests or to let them know we have photographed an event they have participated in. Clients will always be given the opportunity to opt out of such notifications.

Salt Photography maintains the right to waive or apply any of the above conditions at any time, as deemed necessary by Salt Photography and its owners.
